In just the two years we’ve been running the Darwin Day Roadshow, NESCent scientists and educators have already visited elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, colleges/universities and museums/science centers in 10 states (Arkansas, Iowa, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oregon, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia). We gave talks about our research, led students in hands-on activities that explore evolutionary principles and answered questions about evolutionary science, what it takes to become a scientist, and what some of the rewards and challenges are.
The map, below, shows the 18 states we will have visited upon the completion of the 2013 Darwin Day Roadshow this coming February…
